With more than three decades of teaching, counseling and coaching experience, Dr. Summers has a passion to help others experience transformation, live free in Christ, and flourish in the present. She believes that relationships and past experiences don’t have to define us, but rather can be used by God to help transform us into the person we were created to be. Dr. Summers received her doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary and her dissertation intersects Interpersonal Neurobiology and Romans 12:2 (transformation). A curious and perpetual student, she continued her formal studies on the mind/brain connection at Johns Hopkins University and University of Oxford. She is presently pursuing a second doctorate, now at Regent University, in Psychology and Counseling with a concentration on psychotraumatology. She is a wife, mother to three adult sons, and the Oma of three granddaughters. She is also an avid athlete, musician, admits to buying more books than she reads, and is always ready to climb any mountain and follow every dream.
