I grew up in a pastor’s home, where faith was woven into every part of life. While I am deeply grateful for that foundation, I also felt the pressure of needing to be “perfect.” Over time, that pressure led me to drift from my faith. It wasn’t until I attended a Christian university in college that my relationship with Christ truly became my own. Being surrounded by young people who were genuinely passionate about Jesus was refreshing and transformative. It reminded me that faith is not about performance, but about relationship, grace, and surrender.
Psalm 55:22 has been especially meaningful in both my personal life and my work: “Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.” This verse reflects the heart of how I approach counseling. We are not meant to carry our burdens alone.
When clients are open to it, I thoughtfully incorporate Biblical truth into our sessions. I enjoy praying with clients and using Scripture as a source of comfort, guidance, and hope in their healing journey. My goal is never to impose faith, but to gently invite clients to experience the sustaining grace of God in a way that feels safe, authentic, and supportive.
My own journey through pressure, doubt, and rediscovery allows me to sit with clients with compassion and understanding. I believe healing happens when we release the weight we were never meant to carry and rest in the truth of who God says we are.
My practice is filled with wonderful counselors who are Christians and are ready to walk with you through your healing journey while incorporating faith!
