My name is Frank Mele, and as a Christian mental health professional, I offer clinical counseling within the framework of a Biblical worldview to guide my clients toward Truth and healing. I have been married for 14 years to my best friend and beautiful wife Laura, and together we have two amazing boys, Tanner and Levi.

With a strong background in engineering and construction, I made the decision to pivot my career to pursue my passion for faith-based mental health. Despite this shift, I continue to leverage my skills in business, organizational leadership, and strategic planning to help my clients “engineer” a new future of abundant life.

I draw from many therapeutic orientations in counseling including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, schema therapy, reality therapy, psychodynamic approaches, family-systems theory, attachment theory, and gestalt techniques. I conceptualize human wellness from a biblical perspective and believe that many, but not all, psychological problems result from original, societal, and personal sin.

Professionally, I am licensed in the state of PA as an Associate Professional Counselor, I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and I have a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University. My ideal client is a man, woman, or couple who wants their faith integrated with their therapy, but needs greater psychological support than what a pastor can offer. I am an experienced church leader with a shepherd’s heart, and have served my local in church in many capacities. In addition to counseling, I also currently serve on staff at Emmanuel Church in Johnstown PA. I believe that scripture is the inerrant Word of God – but it is not required that you agree with all of my personal beliefs. I am here to serve and respect you to the best of my ability as you seek healing and restoration.

Although I am trained in most areas of clinical disorder, I specialize in working with premarital/ married couples; business leaders, ministry workers and other helping professionals who are experiencing leadership anxiety or burnout; women working through betrayal trauma; and men who are struggling with pornography or other unwanted sexual behavior.
