Hi! I’m Francisco and welcome to my profile. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor here in the great state of Texas. I’ve worked in the counseling field for 7 years and previously worked with non-profit organizations helping people that have been underserved in the area of mental health. I also have 7 years of teaching experience at the high school level where I formerly taught AP physics. In addition to my secular trainings and experience, I come from a family of ministers who seek to glorify God in their lives. I’ve been involved in the ministry in my church for about 20 years serving as a musician, Sunday school teacher, and have done missions work. I firmly believe that God is central to our existence and God wants to be involved in our journey of restoration and growth.

In the first chapter of the book of psalms, there is a reference to people that are planted by water. Those who meditate in his law day and night. These are the ones that put their trust in the Lord as the prophet Jeremiah also writes. The Bible states that they yield their fruit in season and their leaves don’t wither. So when the going gets tough, there is still peace. A peace that surpasses all understanding. While secular forms of counseling can be helpful, the healing of the deepest part of ourselves can only be done by seeking God. The work of therapy is incomplete unless God is involved. It is my hope that prospective clients will open the door to him in their therapy journey. As I practice, I ask God to give me the wisdom to serve faithfully and effectively using his word. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet.”
