Hi there! I grew up in a traditional Christian household and was raised in the church. When I got to be older, I went through some difficult family circumstances that caused me to look within and really reflect on my relationship with God. It wasn’t until I was in high school when my faith in Christ started to take shape. I also went to a private Lutheran High School which helped me in that process! Fast forward to college, I went to a private Christian University that really helped shape the foundation of my faith and walk with Christ. I remember being surrounded by so much love of others living on campus and also attending chapels regularly, where my faith had an opportunity to grow and be nurtured.

Some of my favorite scriptures that guide my work are Psalms 16:11 which describes the presence of Christ in our lives that is greater than any treasure we could seek after in this world, and 2 Timothy 1:7, which talks about how Christ has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind. I like to use this one when helping clients who are struggling with anxiety and fear.

I like to incorporate Biblical teachings into my therapy sessions when I feel led to apply Christ’s teachings to what my clients are currently going through. Aside from that, I like to use prayer at the end of sessions to help client’s feel empowered and encouraged after they leave the office.
