Dan Dickerson is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in Arizona with approximately 20 years of combined experience in mental health and addiction care, encompassing both professional therapy and spiritual coaching. He is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective support to individuals seeking healing and growth.
Dan holds a Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling, graduating with honors. Continuously expanding his expertise, he is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in General Psychology with an emphasis on Cognition and Learning.
Committed to a trauma-informed approach, Dan strives to create a safe and compassionate environment for clients to explore their challenges. He has basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and has been integrating EMDR into his practice for the past year and a half. Furthermore, Dan possesses extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
To further specialize in complex trauma and addiction, Dan is currently enrolled at the Arizona Trauma Institute working towards certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist/Trauma and Addiction. He is also enrolled in the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine, deepening his understanding of the intersection of psychology, biology, and clinical practice.
Dan is excited to announce that he will be beginning his supervised private practice in the Prescott, Arizona area between mid-May and mid-September 2025. He will be offering therapeutic services as an LAC under clinical supervision while continuing his doctoral studies.
