Hello! My name is Christine Leyva Buccio and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Shepard’s Way Inc., a Christ-centered therapy practice dedicated to walking with individuals, couples, and families through healing, restoration, and transformation—God’s way.

My journey into the counseling field was born out of my own personal testimony. I know what it’s like to wrestle with deep emotional pain—seasons marked by depression, anxiety, panic attacks, low self-worth, trauma, parental divorce and eating disorder. At one point, I believed that being a “good person” should shield me from suffering, but I came to understand that trials are part of living in a fallen world. Still, God, in His mercy, used my brokenness as an invitation to draw closer to Him. Through that journey, He revealed His healing power, and it became my calling to help others find that same hope and peace.

One of the scriptures that anchors me is Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” This verse reminds me that peace doesn’t come from circumstances—it comes from trust in God. I also hold on to Romans 12:2, which urges us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” That’s the heart of what we do at Shepard’s Way Inc.—we walk with clients as they unlearn the lies they’ve believed and embrace the truth of who they are in Christ.

At Shepard’s Way Inc., therapy is not just clinical—it’s spiritual. I integrate biblical principles with evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, IFS, and trauma-informed care. We begin sessions with prayer when welcomed, explore Scripture as a source of insight and comfort, and regularly invite the Holy Spirit into the healing process. I believe God is the ultimate healer, and I simply partner with Him in helping others heal mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Whether you’re facing anxiety, relational conflict, betrayal, grief, or identity struggles, know that God sees you. He is near to the brokenhearted, and He brings beauty from ashes. My hope is that this practice would be a place where you don’t just survive, but truly begin to live—free, whole, and renewed.

We’re not here to live for our own names, but for His. At Shepard’s Way Inc., we count it a privilege to walk with you as you follow the Shepherd’s voice into healing and restoration. Therapy is not about perfection—it’s about progress, honesty, and healing in the presence of a loving and holy God.

If you’re seeking a safe space where your faith is honored and integrated into the counseling process, I would be honored to walk with you.
