My work is deeply shaped by my personal journey and my faith. Through my own healing in areas of disordered eating and body image, God cultivated in me a deep compassion for others who feel trapped in shame, fear, or disconnection from their bodies. That experience led me to a calling to walk alongside others as they pursue healing, freedom, and a renewed relationship with food and their bodies.
Scripture reminds us that our worth is not defined by appearance, performance, or cultural expectations. One verse that continually guides my work is Psalm 139:14, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” This truth is foundational in helping clients begin to see their bodies not as problems to fix, but as gifts created by God.
Another verse that often shapes my approach is Romans 12:2, which encourages us to be “transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Much of the work we do together involves gently challenging harmful beliefs about food, body image, and identity while replacing them with truth, compassion, and grace.
In sessions, I integrate evidence-based counseling approaches—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy informed techniques and the Intuitive Eating framework—while also welcoming faith into the process when clients desire it. This might include reflecting on scripture, discussing how faith shapes identity and self-worth, or exploring how God’s design for our bodies can guide a more peaceful relationship with food.
My goal is to create a safe and compassionate space where clients can experience both practical tools and spiritual encouragement as they move toward healing.
