You are not alone! My passion is to hold safe space for those who feel stuck, lonely, and depressed. If you are addicted, codependent, experiencing anxiety, shame and guilt and have the desire to change, I can relate. I will actively listen so you will be known without judgment. Together we will invite God into the process of sorting through emotions of grief and trauma relying on His truth as a healing balm to restore the broken pieces. God’s Word says “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1.
My name is Judy and I have a new life in Christ! I have found freedom from complex PTSD and CSA (childhood sexual abuse). I am a beneficiary of biblical counseling, twelve step groups, sponsors, mentors and prayer warriors. My toolbox contains the Bible, Christian authors, teachers and twelve step recovery curriculums. I am a student with American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and International Christian Coaching Association (ICCA). I have coaching certifications through Light University in mental health, grief, trauma, life recovery, cognitive behavior therapy, human flourishing, marriage and family. I am a sponsor in Alanon and Codependents’ Anonymous, a leader and mentor in Regeneration.
The first session is complementary. Sessions are one hour and we will meet via phone, FaceTime or Zoom.
My favorite Scriptures to meditate upon:
God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1
Be still and know that I am God – Psalm 46:10.
Lord, when doubts fill my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer. Psalm 94:19
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. Romans 12:2.
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity and the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5
My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life Proverbs 4:20–23.
