Coach. Teacher. Mentor. I am an overcomer.  But I didn’t become one overnight, or without people placed in my life at just the right time and place to help me along the way.  I grew up in a nominally religious household, with a face of normalcy to the outside world, while addiction and the sides that come with that were operating in the day to day of our family.  I learned various techniques to deal with what I did not know how to process at the time, and developed patterns that operated in my life like some unknown game of Tetris.

Two years after I was married, I had an encounter with Jesus.  I confronted myself with Him one snowy afternoon, and received His gift of salvation.  I had known about Him before, had years of religious instruction behind me at that point, but from the moment I trusted in Him that day, I began a journey of walking with Him, getting to know Him, learning His voice, and learning what it looked like for me to walk my life as a follower of Jesus.

Little by little at times, and bandaid ripping style at others, I began to be able to learn the patterns operating in my life, learn that I could choose differently,  and how to do so.  I learned how to be intentional in nearly every area of my life, knowing that even in the most difficult, most challenging moments or seasons, I had a choice in who I was going to be in that time.  I learned that the hidden pain within the struggles of grief, depression, autoimmune diagnosis, marital issues, and the years of codependency patterns I had adopted did not need to remain hidden, that there was strength in allowing that pain to surface, to be heard, to be healed, and to be used for a purpose in my life and the life of others.

Now, I help others, mostly adult and adolescent women that have hidden pain live IN Purpose and ON Purpose, to live at peace within themselves and with others, and to live in freedom from the hidden struggles they face in the day to day.  To live both rooted in faith, and free from bondage.  The verse I strive to live out is Jude 1:22- And of some, have compassion, making a difference.  It is a reminder that, like I had, others may have a life that is visible to the outside world, while inside their home or heart there may be turmoil.  They, like I once did, may not feel like there is room for them to acknowledge both the care for someone and the hurt that has been done.  They may have been wrongly taught that Christians should not have struggles, leaders should not have difficulties, and smart people should have it all figured out, leading to feeling isolated and ashamed in their circumstances and everyday struggles.

I serve people with an approach and an embracing of compassion, connection, and choice.  I am a Christian coach, it is who I am, but I am not a coach for Christians only.  I believe that wherever you are in your faith journey, whether mature faith, little or even no faith or no interest in faith, I serve from that place of who I am and who Jesus is- in care and compassion, while also sharing and incorporating foundational biblical truths that are relatable to each individual and where they are at in their own walk.

I have nine pillars that I teach, mentor, and coach from- Intentionality in faith, mind set, relationships, vocation/career, physical health, finances, physical surroundings, time, and rest.  I am a trauma informed neuro-transformational coach that incorporates a somatic and holistic approach, a mental health coach, and a certified financial coach.  I operate from a place of community, connecting and referring clients to additional support and resources that reflect their current place and needs.  While I love to work with clients in conjunction with their therapist or counselor, I am not a licensed mental health provider and do not provide those services myself.  I am happy to refer any client to one of the many qualified professionals in my network that provide those services. I serve from the coaching credentials and modalities that I have invested training and practice hours in, my own qualifying life experiences and learnings, and a foundational understanding of scripture and how that applies to our everyday life.   I welcome you to schedule a complimentary chat to see if we would be a good fit to work together in discovering and living out your purpose- on purpose, rooted & free!

Until we meet, I am cheering you on from the sidelines!
