Greetings, I’m Darcy and I want to help people become better and grow!

As a certified Mental Health Coach I’m dedicated to helping my clients live their lives integrating prayer, scriptures and my own personal experiences in life to help others find hope after pain. My approach is guided by a promise in scripture…Isaiah 41:10, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  

This scripture was one of the first verses that I read as a timid and shy kid. When I realized that God promised to be with me because he’s my God, and that he promised to provide me with strength and help me through whatever I needed, I knew then that I wanted that kind of peace.  

I went through years of trauma and abuse by others, but he kept reminding me that he was with me. He assured me that no matter what I faced in life I can always go to him and trust that he will uphold me. He has healed me, comforted me through the worst of times and now I walk with a hope that I never had. I don’t have enough paper to journal or tell of the times God has rescued me. Learning to trust him and grow closer to him helped me to see that no matter what I face in life he never left me disappointed. 

Life hasn’t always been the best for me, as a matter of fact for a while it seemed like I would never catch a break! You see I know the experience of being hurt and broken. And I can definitely relate to the struggles and challenges in life. As a youth, I was told I was slow and wasn’t smart enough to do certain things. I was also a sickly child growing up. I didn’t walk until I was three and as I got older and started school I was bullied, picked on, made fun of and even mishandled by teachers & people I should have been safe with. 

I had to experience the heartbreak of losing siblings, a parent, grandparent and very close friends. The devastation of going through divorce, betrayal and having to start over from scratch was a lot. When I became a single parent I had one issue after another trying to provide for my kids even faced eviction! In 2012, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune, but by the grace of God he’s been keeping me and allowing me to live each day. I’m so grateful for God’s faithfulness to me.

Gaining the wisdom I needed and having hope & joy allowed me to bounce back and learn tools that would give me an opportunity to face anything with the help of God. Since then I’ve graduated high school, got my Associates, gained skills using my hands to write & create, became a licensed minister and now serving others at my local church.

Although I’ve faced hard times I’ve seen new growth in my own life! And I’m thriving in places I never thought I’d thrive. 

You are meant to grow into who God created you to be despite challenges. And when you get stuck or become afraid along the way, I want to be there alongside you reminding you that you’re an overcomer! God is rebuilding my life and he can do the same for you too.
