What will happen in the first session?
First sessions focus on the big picture.  Be prepared for therapists to ask about the specific problem that inspired you to seek therapy, what you hope to achieve over the course of treatment, a brief sketch of your life story, and any experience you’ve had with therapy in the past. He may also discuss his own therapeutic orientation, summarize what you shared, and provide feedback on the issues you shared.

Are we accepting new clients?
Yes, we are currently accepting new clients in person in our Princeton, Charleston, and Beckley offices.
We are accepting new Telehealth/virtual clients from anywhere in West Virginia (You do not have to be a resident in West Virginia but have to be in West Virginia at the time of service).

Is a referral needed to make an appointment?
No, a referral is not needed to make an appointment.

What insurance do we accept?
We accept most major insurances. When you call to schedule an appointment,  the office staff will let you know if we are set up with your insurance. Payment amounts for appointments vary depending on your insurance policy.

How much are appointments without insurance?
All intake appointments are $200.00.
Follow-up appointments with a therapist are $170.00.
Follow-up appointments with the Nurse Practitioner are $140.00.

Where is each office located?
Please visit the “locations” page to select your location and find detailed directions. Also, feel free to call or email the office for directions and or to schedule your appointment.

What is our missed appointment/cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel an appointment, we ask for a 24-hour notice. If you are unsure if you will be able to make it to your appointment on time, let us know. If you arrive late, the appointment may be rescheduled.
If an appointment is completely missed, a fee for the session will apply.

Do I have to be a WV resident to receive Telehealth services?
No, but you must be present in the state of WV during the time of service.

How often will I / we need to come after the first appt.. is it twice a week or once a week?
It depends on what you and the therapist agree is necessary for you to receive maximum benefit from the sessions. In the beginning, often people come one time a week. You can discuss with your therapist at that time about follow-up appts.
