Being a PK (pastor’s kid), I have known of God practically all my life, though I did not truly begin to develop a relationship with him until high school. Even still, I have come to realize that the moments in which I really grew more deeply in my relationship with God were born out of moments of deep human heartbreak. And boy, did I experience many of those moments in my adulthood. Growing up in a blended and “broken” family due to divorce, really stirred a passion in me to develop healthy and sustainable relationships. Later in life, it became more evident to me that there was no way that I could develop true, authentic, and successful relationships with others if I did not have a healthy relationship with myself. My passion for helping individuals develop healthy and sustainable relationships with one another is what inspired me to become a therapist, and it is my desire for helping individuals develop a true sense of joy and fulfillment in who they are, that now truly drives the work that I do. With my client’s consent, I incorporate prayer and scripture into our therapy sessions
