I’m an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who specializes in helping teens and 20-somethings navigate anxiety — especially when it shows up as overthinking, insecurities, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, feelings of depression, and/or obsessive fears that take over daily life. Over the past 3 years, I’ve worked almost exclusively with young people with anxiety and/or OCD. I’ve trained with the best at the Townsend Institute (led by Dr. John Townsend) and the Cognitive Behavioral Institute, and am passionate about helping young people gain freedom from oppressive fear by helping them know and walk in the truth (Romans 12:2, John 8:32). I integrate helpful, evidence-based techniques from Exposure-Based CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into therapy, but I also believe therapy is ultimately a relationship and healing can sometimes be as simple as being heard and witnessed with love. I’m here to listen, help my clients make sense of things (always in line with what God says is true), and carry with them what’s too heavy to carry alone. Therapy with me often includes: storytelling, practicing being present, exploring emotions, noticing unhelpful thought patterns + core beliefs, ‘connecting the dots’ between the past and present, slowly facing fears + learning to love well with better coping + relational skills.
