Just as antibiotics are needed to heal physical infections, our hearts require spiritual and emotional healing when brokenness sets in. Healing takes time, intention, and the right treatment. There are no shortcuts. True restoration begins when we address the root, not just the symptoms.

From a Christian perspective, the ultimate source of healing is Jesus Christ. His love is the foundation of all transformation. Because He first loved us, we are empowered to love ourselves and others. That love becomes the medicine for our wounded hearts.

As a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA), a U.S. Army veteran, a wife of 20 years, and a mother of three, I understand the complexities of life and the beauty of resilience. I also embrace the discipline of triathlon training, which reminds me daily of the endurance required for healing.
