As a follower of Christ, we are called not to comfort or success but to obedience. Consequently, our lives are to be defined not by what we do but by who we are in Christ. As a Christian counselor, I want to help others move away from being defined by their flesh, trauma, or mental health issues and be defined by Christ. I work with clients to proclaim His name without fear, follow Him without regret and serve Him without compromise. Through prayer, mediation, and reading of scripture I try to follow God in my work with clients as best I can to being Biblically prescriptive and Biblically and clinically descriptive. “[B]eing confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:3 I know that God alone has all the power to heal, and to Him goes all honor and all glory that come from my obedience and faith.
