I was raised in a Christian home and felt a deep love for God and His Word from an early age. Even as a child, I sensed the presence of the Holy Spirit in my life and felt drawn to ministry, often writing sermons and spending time in prayer. In late adolescence and early adulthood, I drifted from God’s call and made choices that led me into unhealthy relationships and directions. Yet God, in His faithfulness, placed a godly professor and mentor in my life who cared not only about my academic growth, but also my spiritual well-being. Through her guidance, I rediscovered that God was the missing piece in my life—the One who brought balance, meaning, and purpose.

As my relationship with the Lord deepened, my calling to Christian ministry became clear, and I was licensed and ordained in August 2004. God continued to lead my steps, opening the door for me to attend Duke University Divinity School, where I grew in my understanding of God and the gifts He had placed within me to serve His people. Through ministry, I developed a deep passion for helping individuals and families live into the fullness of who God created them to be. I have seen firsthand how pain, trauma, and life’s hardships can cause people to feel disconnected from God’s grace and love, yet I firmly believe that God’s presence offers healing, restoration, and hope.

Romans 8:31–39 has become a foundational Scripture in my life and ministry, reminding me and those I serve that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. My husband and I met in Divinity School, and I have served alongside him in pastoral ministry, continuing to live out this calling. God later led me to complete my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling so I could integrate clinical training with my faith, further equipping me to serve those who are hurting.

In my counseling work, God’s Word is truly a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I open each session with prayer and, when desired by the client, intentionally weave Scripture and Biblical principles into evidence-based counseling practices. My goal is to create a space where faith and psychology work together, allowing clients to experience emotional healing, spiritual renewal, and the transforming presence of God in their lives.
