I am a faith-based counselor who believes in the healing power of God. I had crippling fear and depression and God took it away in a second at an altar call! I was left with memories that I sought counseling for, so the lingering anxious thoughts from trauma could be healed. Two of my favorite Scriptures are Hebrews 13:5 and Philipians 4:7 because these got me through my toughest moments and these are two powerful promises from God! I incoporate Scriptures like these into therapy through reframing thoughts, which causes us to dwell on the Word of God (meditation). The Bible is living and active, so when we know the Scripture and use our weapon, the enemy has no control over our minds!
