Thanks for being here!

My name is Eugene, and little about me is that I enjoy creating music, playing guitar, basketball, powerlifting, reading, learning, and listening to people’s stories. I’m a licensed professional counselor who has counseling experience working with a diverse population of students at Regent University. I graduated from Regent University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and the Award of Excellence, and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Growing up in the mission field in South and North American has allowed me to become intimately acquainted with the panoply of joys, difficulties, and needs of church members and ministry. These experiences have instilled a desire to serve and journey with others to know a meaning and purposeful life with healing, freedom, and peace; a knowledge that is both scholastic and experienced.

My counseling lens coalesces empirically sound practices and research with a holistic and encompassing view of reality. It is an honor to provide a space for individuals to be authentic, process, connect, and establish new rhythms in their lives that align with God’s design. My passion is for individuals to know the depth of God’s love for them (Ephesians 3:14-21); experience it in relationships (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12); and be in remembrance of who God is and our identity with him (Romans 12:2).

As a clinical counselor I am trained in specialized therapies (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Method, and Certified Personality Disorder Training) and I tailor practical tools and strategies to treat issues related to trauma, anxiety, OCD, phobias, relationships, depression, grief and loss, and characterological issues. I also provide consultation to church partners and leaders to draw out their gifts and equip them with clarity and knowledge regarding mental health topics, relationships, risk and crisis management, and resources to better serve and care for the needs of their community.

If you’re ready to take the next step—or even if you’re just curious about what the process might look like—I’m here to support you. Contact me for more information or a free consult!
