Saving Grace Counseling Center use the Saving Grace Model of mental health care and is a unique Christian model to the field.

Our theophostic style of counseling using the power of prayer and a connection with the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction in all of  our sessions, (Psalms 25:4-5; Philippians 9:1-10; John 16:13.)

Each session starts with prayer and asking the client what their needs are. When a client is willing to ask, God use the Holy Spirit to answer, (James 4:2.)

Our team believes in the power of prayer as we are the first Christian counseling center in the city of Bangor and have seen many personal and public miracles where hearts, minds and lives have been change.

Scott Hosier is the President, CEO of Saving Grace Counseling Center and founder of the Saving Grace Model which offers pastoral counseling, one on one, couples, and marriage counseling, Scott  has  a masters degree in pastoral counseling and leadership from LibertyUniversity. Also, Scott has a masters diploma from Light University in adult and youth coaching and  is certified and trained in Suicide PAIR (Prevention, Assessment, Intervention, and Recovery.)  As  a Christian coach and counselor, he is always studying and seeking the Holy Spirit for wisdom and guidance in his daily life.

Joan Reinholdtsen, another team member,  has been working with Scott to develop and implement the Saving Grace Model  since its inception. She is an Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, (LCPC) with over 10 years of counseling, diagnosing and planning. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT), and is always looking to improve on her counseling skills and knowledge.

Joan obtained her master’s in counseling through Liberty University and along with Scott, strongly believes that it is the duty of every Christian to help build the kingdom of heaven in any way possible based on the talents God has provided us with.

Scott and Joan work with with a competent and knowledgeable Christian team to offer and provide the best mental health care services available in Christian counseling for the Bangor, Maine area.

Our offering of affordable counseling and coaching services are for all, and we hope to bring new life through Jesus, thus  changing the character of our city to one of a Godly position.

Our moto: Bringing Hope to the Hopeless. (Colossians 1:27; Titus 2:13.)
