Hi , my name is Connie and I live in Gainesville Florida with my husband and two children.  I run an organization called Genesis Family Enrichment Center, Inc and we believe that good things come from hard places. Genesis 31:1 states that God look at all that he made and called it very good. The verdict is the same today. Although you and I may walk through valleys and shadows of death, experience traumas and wounds that leave us sensitized or insensitive, we were made by the hand of God and contain his breath.

I have worked with parents and caregivers, churches and organizations providing trauma informed parenting interventions such as Trust-Based Relational Intervention and Circle of Security Parenting as well as the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics for 8 years. Parenting is one of the hardest roles that we will have and there is no playbook. However, the care that we received as children is activated in the care that we provide to our children and loved ones. What happens in childhood does not remain in childhood, patterns of care show up as ghost in the nursery.

Whether you are a parent or caregiver, challenged in your role or your child has experienced trauma, relational or otherwise, it would be my honor to walk along with you to rediscover the good in your hard place.
