I strive to offer human connection to my clients, through therapy, and meet them wherever they are in their life journey. My goal is to explore with my clients whatever treatment goals they may have and then create a safe space for my clients to share and heal and grow toward meeting their goals.

I have experience treating PTSD, complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use and abuse, schizophrenia, bipolar, domestic violence survivors, spouses in difficult marriages, and those recovering or experiencing narcissistic abuse. I have enjoyed running psychoeducational groups covering topics such as boundaries, assertiveness, grief, and DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) skills. Most recently, I have been running workshops for healing from narcissistic abuse and groups for individuals (or caregivers of) with chronic illness/autoimmune disorders.

I have extensive experience working with clients who are survivors of sexual abuse and/or domestic violence as well as addiction. I am a member of the American Counseling Association. As a former associate teacher with HISD, I also have trainings in suicide recognition and prevention.

I studied with the Townsend Institute under the leadership of Christian author and clinical psychologist, Dr John Townsend. I focused on human attachment as well as the therapeutic relationship offering the horizontal part of the cross. The vertical part of the cross represents our relationship with God and the horizontal part of the cross is fulfilled by our relationship with others.

For my undergraduate degree, I studied Government and Politics at the University of Maryland, College Park and even worked as a congressional intern in Washington D.C. at the US House of Representatives for the 8^th district of Maryland. My graduate training was through Concordia University in Irvine, California. I hold a Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, and I am currently licensed as an LPC associate (LPC-A) in the State of Texas. I am supervised by Lee Hudson, Psy.D., LPC-S.

I’m a mom to two great teenage boys who don’t just play video games but love to code as well! I’m also passionate about individuals with autoimmune conditions or those experiencing chronic illness as I have a son who suffers with an autoimmune condition. A fun fact is that, many moons ago, I  spent time in New York training to be an actor and vocal performer. I am an avid cruise-goer who loves snorkeling in the Caribbean.
